Inauguration of Sports Festival ‘Waros-2018’ at Lotus Valley.

Lotus Valley, held its Annual Sports Fete “WARROS” 2018-19 today on 21st December 2018 during school hours in the school ground.  The aim behind holding the event was to inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship and fondness for sports in children. The day was a fun filled fest of laughter, energy and delight as around students presented and participated in various activities. Our Director Mr Jogender Sunda and Chairman Dr Piyush Sunda had presided over the event as the Chief Guest. The Managing Director Mr Ramakant Swami, Sports Incharge Mr Somender Yadav, and Co-ordinator of Lotus Valley Ms Babita Khedar also graced the occasion.
The event began with the Lamp Lightening Ceremony, lent a serene aura to the occasion. A melodious Saraswati Vandana laid the ground for other lovely performances and it was followed by a flag hoisting ceremony. The March Past performed by the students of Grade VI & VII. An oath was administered to students to participate in the sports day with true sportsman spirit. The Chief Guest praised the endeavours of the school in his speech. He highlighted the necessity of sportsmanship in a world riddled with rat races for glory. The sports meet was declared open formally by releasing the gas balloons. The sports torch was carried by the sports achievers, and handed over to the Chief Guest.
The spectators were particularly enthused by the gymnastic performances and praised the efforts profusely. One highlight of the event was a Cheer dance presented by our Tiny Tots. Notable among them were various kinds of races including jelly fish race, colour bomb, hurdle race, face puzzle, butterfly race, coin race, drop the penny, hula-hoop race, jalebi race, tug of war, blowing the glass race, solving the puzzle race etc.
The day ended with a cheerful note and it will be succeeded by tomorrow’s event of grade VI & VII……………….
